In order to keep our community clean and protect the environment, the Village of Saint-Antoine is organizing its annual community cleanup from May 15 to June 15, 2020. Choose a street, a neighborhood or the surroundings of your property and pick up the garbage at a time that suits you.

In order to comply with the recommendations related to the COVID-19 pandemic, participants are asked to follow certain instructions:

  • Pick up your cleanup kit (1 per person) from the bin located outside the municipal office from 8 AM to 4 PM Monday to Friday. If you prefer, you can use your own gloves and clear garbage bags that you already have at home.
  • Participate in this activity only with people living in the same household in order to respect the restrictions placed on group gatherings.
  • Respect the physical distance of two meters from others who are not in your two-household bubble.- Wear gloves and wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water or hand sanitizer when completed.
  • Be mindful of vehicles when near road and wear bright colors or reflective vest.- Dispose of the bags with the regular garbage pick-up. Make sure all the garbage is in clear bags.
  • Notify the municipality immediately at (506) 525-4020 if you find used syringes or needles in the community. Public works employees are equipped with the resources necessary to safely collect them.

During the next few weeks, the municipal employees will be flushing the sanitary sewer system. It is recommended to keep the toilet lids closed when not in use. The municipality apologizes for any inconvenience.⁣

The playground at the community park remains closed until further notice. The municipality does not have the resources necessary to meet the provincial sanitation guidelines. The outdoor equipment is not disinfected.

The dog park is now open, but users must practice physical distancing (distance of 2 metres) from others at all times. If the measures are not respected, the municipality will close the park immediately.
